Protein plays vital part of your daily diet. Proteins are instrumental in building muscle and promote healthy skin.
They also aid your metabolism and cell processes, protect against harmful diseases and provide your body with long term energy as opposed to the short term energy you get from carbohydrates.
Another good tip in healthier eating is to create and stick to set meal times everyday. This add regularity to the processes of the body resulting in more efficient operation.
While it is always a good idea to cut down on the amount of salt you are ingesting each day it is also important to understand this subject more deeply.
Adding salt can enhance the flavor of foods. However, adding too much salt causes the salt threshold of your taste buds to increase resulting in the need for more salt to be able to taste things properly.
This can spiral out of control unless you take steps to reduce added salt. Over time your salt threshold will reduce and the natural flavor of foods will again be available to you.
Be aware that almost every type of food or beverage you buy mostly likely contains added salt or sugar so get into the habit of actually reading the label.

You body can and will naturally balance it’s own salt levels provided it has enough water available to it to do so.
The connection between salt intake and heart problems may not actually be a salt problem but a lack of water problem.
Sugars and anything that can be classified as a “white” food such as rice and bread contain less nutrients than their “brown” versions.
Regardless of why you want to improve your nutrition, it is important to get started as soon as possible. Eating nutritiously will help you maintain strength, energy, and endurance throughout your day.
