Hair Care Advice
Many people really don’t know how to truly care for their hair. In fact most people think that “hair Care” consists of washing it and brushing it and… well that’s about it!
Here are a few things to keep in mind when you think of how to treat your hair.
Chlorine from swimming pools can be pretty rough on normal hair and absolutely devastating to already dry hair. When combined with extended exposure to sunlight I can’t really think of a more drying, deadening process!
Whenever you have been swimming in chlorinated water make sure that you follow it up afterwards with thorough washing and conditioning with products designed for the purpose.
There are many good products on the market designed specifically for after pool care and they should definitely be used.
Brushing your hair can spread natural oils to nourish all parts of your hair. These oils originate at the base of the hair on the scalp and the action of brushing helps distribute those iols along the full length of the hair strand.
Remember that a little goes a long way so don’t get too carried away and if you are in doubt ask your hair care professional as to a suitable brushing routine.
Make sure that you are using the correct hair care products the correct way. The next time you are at the hairdressers get some advice on not only what type of products your hair needs but also what care regime you should implement for your hair type.
Select shampoos that are specially formulated with your hair’s unique type. Using the right kind of shampoos can make a dramatic difference in the condition and styling ability of your unique hair issues are addressed. For instance, if your hair is prone to dryness or you have damaged it by blow-drying, you want a shampoo with moisturizers.
Even if you have oily hair, harsh shampoos can create rebound oil in hair. Some people also just use only conditioner about one or two times every week.
If your hair is damaged, avoid using heated styling appliances.Curling irons and blow dryers can seriously dry your hair, causing it to be impossible or hard to repair.Every once in a while, give your hair some time away from the heat!
