Some Fitness Advice
It can be difficult to know the best ways to get into shape when there is so much information and misinformation out there.
In fact often the case may be that you spend more time trying to navigate through it all rather than just getting into it!
If you are just starting out on a fitness regime it is always a good idea to get your doctor’s advice from a medical viewpoint especially if you:
- Have ongoing health problems
- Have had serious health problems in the past
- Are a smoker
- Have not had a full medical check up for over a year.
A personal trainer can be a wonderful way to improve your fitness levels but personal trainers as they can provide motivation and have a wealth of experience to draw from.
But the downside is that they come at a price that not all of us can afford.
An alternative to this that most people can afford is to join a gym or fitness club.
Often people shy away from these places for any number of reasons but the truth is that most of those reasons are totally unfounded.
Concerns over you body shape or existing lack of fitness are the exact concerns that the staff in thses places are used to dealing with every day.
It is not in their interests to make you feel uncomfortable, that’s just bad business!
If this too is a little too far outside you comfort zone then that’s still no excuse for doing nothing at all.
A brisk 20 minute walk four times a week will begin to show results in a very short amount of time and if you keep it up you will actually SEE results in short order.
Set yourself a schedule and write down the days on which you will be exercising during the week, and never skip a session.
If you cannot avoid missing a particular day’s workout, then you need to schedule one as soon as possible afterwards and give your full attention to the workout.
As with anything you do in life, being knowledgeable is important and understanding the proper way to work out will ensure that you get the maximum results from whatever your fitness routine.
